[IRCA] TP Oct 21, 2012 / Victoria version

It was a better morning than lately, with a mix of Asia (JJ big guns mostly, mostly before 1400UT) and DU, and quite spotty. By the looks of Dennis' loggings, the Asians are better earlier on right now.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

none

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 JOUB EE lessons 1355UT
774 3LO (assumed) DU woman o/assumed NHK 1412UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

612 slow choral mx at 1358UT. Sounded Christian, possible on the dying hours of a Sunday night on 4QR, but never heard such on that station. It also sounded a heck of a lot like what was on 909 just then, which would have made it Southern Star at 2.5kw, but I couldn't get the two to fade up at the same time, hi. Another time.
747 JOIB EE lessons //774 various times around 1400UT
828 JOBB EE lessons at 1401UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

702 man talking 1352UT, a bit of a DU EE flavor to it. 2BL?
909 Southern Star, choral mx 1357UT, seemed // to webstream at 1359UT
972 man talking 1413UT, and as late as 1438UT; would have suspected DU by now, but inflection didn't seem DU EE, so HLCA?
1053 KK jammer 1351UT
1116 man talking, very weak, 1425UT, likely 4BC?
1287 JOHR? man talking 1414UT, JJ inflection

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

567 576 594 603 765 891 1179 1242 1314 1566

best wishes,

Nick
