Yeah, really... AM signals were very fuzzy and fadey, with poor 
intelligibility.  And then, just as it was starting to get interesting, most 
of the big gun signals in the east rapidly came back, and the band sounded 
pretty much normal again.  Any hopes of viewing the aurora were also thwarted 
by clouds here... all in all, a disappointment compared to events in the past 
when auroral conditions persisted for days.

One unid I'll mention while I'm here: around 2050 EDT, when CFZM's signal was 
still in the dumpster, I had a C&W station on 740 that was running Westwood 
One Weekly Country Music Countdown.  There are several possibilities with the 
right format, such as WIRJ, but I haven't identified one that is a WW1 
affiliate.  Any ideas?
