You gents have awakened my nostalgia again with mentions of WKBI.  Back 
in 50-52 WKBI was heard regularly on their monthly frequency check from 
my dx locale in NW Iowa. 250 watts too.  It helped that the frequency 
was almost clear at the time but their signal did get out.
