Hi, Nigel. Yes, indeed. Asia was a complete dud this morning, while the DU
were pretty weak. Seems the peak for DU on the coast was about a month or
more ago. On Haida Gwaii, August has always been a fine time to hear DU.
As we get closer to winter, the TAs start to make more and more of an
appearance, propagation permitting. Even Nick and I, have quite different
reception patterns, and he's only 2 or 3 km from me in Victoria. John
Bryant, R.I.P., on Orcas, which again is only around 15 or 20 km to the east
had vastly different reception patterns (usually much better) than we did
here, especially towards Asia.......Walt
