Listened this morning from 13:36 to 14:34 UTC. Conditions were very
difficult this morning, with only a handful of stations heard. Unlike Nigel
in AB, all I heard was DU this morning. In fact, I may not have heard *any
*Asian stations at all, although there were a number of "6" stations, so
impossible to be sure. Nothing in the solar indices indicate/predict what
was going to happen: SF 138, A 5, K (12:00) 1. No space weather past 24,
nor next 24 hours. Nick's DX Fishbarrel is out of commission today, so not
sure what he might have heard this morning. Hopefully, Colin (another
neighbour) will be at the dials for comparison. Also, we have some fellas
down in Grayland as well. Highlight this morning was Tahiti on 738 with
very nice copy at 13:47 // to their internet feed found at:
polynesie.la1ere.fr/radio/direct . This is after mentioning yesterday that
I hardly ever hear anything in the mornings on 738, due to 730 Vancouver
splatter!

738: 8 level with music at 13:47, and latter French talk between 2 OMs at
13:55. Easy to copy, even with CHMJ 730 Vancouver splatter. Also // to

1008: 7 level (almost) at 14:31...either 4TAB or Newstalk ZB. Not sure.
1098: Big 8 level OC from Marshal Is. at 14:11

1116: 8 level from 4BC Brisbane playing "Summer Breeze" at 14:12, // to
internet feed as well. Haven't heard them since 9th of October, the last DU
opening this way.
