Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] 1220 oldies to the south + other tips

If it's the same satellite oldies outlet that Earl Higgins and I were hearing the other night, it should be running Citadel Media's "Classic Hits" service.  And if it's looping southwards from Saul, maybe it IS commonly-heard WSLM, although when I got it, it seemed to be looping straight E-W from Omaha, which made me think it was a re-activated KQMG in Independence, Iowa, which might be simulcasting its FM sister (which does run a satellite 60s/70s/80s format) if it has indeed returned to the air.

That wouldn't stop me from drawing any conclusions because I can find very few 1220s that even remotely fit what Saul heard. I found something related to a 1220.. its entirely possible WSLM AM and FM Were simulcasting.Paul

The liner Saul noted is very common although I forget which Oldies service uses it. In those cases I'd be hesitant to draw any conclusions without more data.
