FM/ TV reception at high altitudes is almost limitless in distance.Examples: On the 16th floor( about 150 feet up) more signals are available direct and without cable than with cable from the three major markets ( Vancouver -Victoria-Seattle) here in the Pacific Northwest, A 3KW FM signal is easily receivable from 80 miles of relatively rough terrain on a clear unblocked channel, while at ground level it's zero.Same results are obtained at a 1200 ft peak on a local highway here on Vancouver Island. If the band wasn't so crowded here it would probably be possible to get stations from Portland.
