Re: [IRCA] DXers under the age of 30

Rene and Russ,

To add to the annoyance of listening to AM radio is the
excessive processing some stations use. Can either of you
hear WHP 580? Their processing is so extreme that I have to
turn the volume way down and even then it gets fatiguing to
listen.

The attack and release time of their processor is so fast and
the volume reduction is so great that sometimes it's
difficult to understand the traffic and weather over the
sounders. Some commercials are the same.

I can't imagine what they are trying to prove, they have one
of the best signals in central Pennsylvania and certainly do
not need that kind of processing.
