Re: [IRCA] Re : 1520 Wa. --Retro Question

>>Getting back to 1520 Wa for a minute ( this topic seems to have been
abandoned as of yesterday and I didn't get a chance to ask the following
question then): Does  anyone know what kind of format the new 1520
in Snohomish or Everett Wa will be putting out on the air?<<

What a friend told me was that the CP for KKXA is owned by KRKO and they
were asking on their website for suggestions of a format. I hope it wont
be talk or sports either along with no IBOC!

>> I hope it won't be SS like Portland. There are enough Spanish language
stations around already. And also, like someone has already asked, what
will their 50Kw at night do to the Portland station's coverage area in
southern Washington.?<<

They are supposed to have a pretty good null going South, but out here
along the coast, to the SW, probably a third of their signal will be
aimed this way, so t night especially 1520 will be a mess. Probably even
heard during the day. 50 KW night and 20 KW day. 1130 Mt Angel has
really messed up WX's signal here during the day.
