[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 10-28

Hello All,

Asiatic signals rebounded somewhat during a pre-sunrise early session
this morning, with several "big gun" TP's strong enough to produce vibrant
audio on the "barefoot" 7.5" loopstick SWP Slider model. Even though
nothing new or rare was heard during this 1300-1350 period, it was the best
Asiatic propagation observed here for about a week (despite the unfavorable
results reported by Richard and Bill this morning).

972-HLCA had a huge signal for a few minutes around 1315 (before the
9' loop was set up in the back yard), as did 747-JOIB around 1325. The
other "big gun" TP's (594, 738, 774, 828, 1134 and 1566) also had fair to good
signals during this period, and even some second-tier Asian stations were
showing promise. The "sunrise enhancement" didn't enhance much of anything
this morning, however, with almost all TP's taking a slow dive into the
noise from 1400-1430. The only exception was a stubborn 1377 kHz station
(presumed CNR1) producing rare, weak audio through the 1380-KRKO splatter right
up until 1430, when the entire Asian lineup collapsed in unison (about half
an hour earlier than usual). In general, it was refreshing to have some
vibrant TP signals again, even with the premature band collapse. Hopefully
those DXers closer to salt water were able to find some nice TP's during the
favorable 1300-1400 period this morning.

The following were heard on a C.Crane SWP Slider model (7.5"
loopstick) inductively coupled to a 9' sided PVC tuned passive loop (in the rainy
back yard). A modified ICF-2010 (30" loopstick) was used as an SSB spotting
receiver:
