Walt,

Just a guess, but being up a bit higher might cut off more of the ground
noise from surrounding areas. I don't know the area well in Lincoln City
but I do know where Gary stayed in Seaside and he would be surrounded by
noise from lights, other motels, computers, etc. That area of the Prom
is noisy. A bit up or down the Prom would be more quiet.
