[IRCA] TP report for 10Oct09 from Masset: Bangladesh at armchair levels!

TP report for 10 October 2009 from Masset:  DC only until 17:40.  Highlight was Bangladesh on 693 at near
armchair level!

531:  9 level
throughout the morning with NHK1 JOQG Marioka listed at 10 kw

540:  CNR1 heard
earlier with lots of echos, while NHK1 dominated later at 14:55.  Several 1 and 5 kw stations listed here.

549:  JOAP Okinawa
listed at 10 kw at 7.5 level at 14:55 NHK1

558:  7 early

567:  JOIK Sapporo at
8 level and cochannel

576:  nothing early
(even the Russian), but later, at 15:06 an Indian sounding music at 8
level.  200 kw AIR station listed
here.  Needs more listening to wav files.

585:  nothing obvious
heard.  Strange!

594:  not that strong
today from JOAK with only 8 level.  Tokyo
NHK1

603:  music,
presumably HLSA at 9 level with music, but earlier only CC at 9 level .  Lots listed.

612:  8 level at 14:54
JOLK Fukuoka

639:  7.5 level CNR1
but spoiled by IBOC

648:  6.5 level late

657:  7.5 level at 14:40, North Korea but 8.5 by
14:55 and cochannel

666:  JOBK Osaka NHK1 at 8+ level with cochannel
music equally strong.  Intriguing that
later, I heard SS sounding music then talk, under both CC and JJ station.  Wondered about New Caledonia!

675:  9 level

684:  7.5 level either JOAG Nagasaki NHK1 or JODF
Moriaka.  Will need to check for //.

693:  My Highlight, thank Chuck and Bruce for
reporting from last weekend at Grayland. 
Yes, Bangladesh easily heard under/over 
JOAB Tokyo at 14:26 with BD mentioned then.  English news at 14:30.  Faded 
up again at 14:57 and pretty good at 15:02 during NHK s/off.  Pretty sure I heard BD Betar at
15:02:30.  Later became quite strong in
the clear at 9+ at times with lots of mentions of BD.  In the clear at 15:15 with yet another
cochannel.  ?who?  Have some good audio. 

702:  14:43 either
JOFB Hiroshima or JOKD Kitami with NHK2 at 14:43 both at 10kw.  Will need to check ID at s/off to be
sure.  9 level.  Also a cochannel with music, not //657 NKorea

711:  HLKA and jammer
at 8.5 and cochannel, perhaps VV.  

720:  CNR2 at 9
level  late

729:  JOCK Nagoya NHK1
and cochannel  music at 7.5

738:  7.5 level music
and cochannel

747:  OC and weak
cochannel after JOIB Sapporo s/off, but I think left on tx.

756, 765

774:  modern US music
at 15:42 at 7 level, likely DU

801:  CC at 7.5 to 8
at 15:56

810:  several
cochannels at 15:44 including presumed AFN Tokyo and possibly a Filipino in the
jumble.

819:  KCBS  at 8 late

828:  9 level CC at
15:36  perhaps Guangdong.

837:  both CC and KK

music, likely Thailand.

1026:  no time to
listen to this segment in band, but did notice 2 CC equal in strength at 16:27

1125:  interesting
frequency with 1125 and 1126.1 causing interference to eachother at 17:37.  Who’s so far off frequency? 

1413:  2 coch JOIF
Fukuoka and another at 8.5

1422:  9 level mx and
weak audio.  Could be JORF Yokohama

1440:  JOWF Sapporo
dominating freq at 9

1449:  7 level with
music

1458:  7 to 8 level
with 2 cochannels.  One in CC, other?

1467:  2 or more
cochannel with music and talk.  7 to 8

1476:  CC and
cochannel at 14:13 at 7.5.  After 16:10
noted with echo.

1485:  low modulation
at 6 to 7 early and late

1494:  8 level  2 stations with JJ either JOTL Nayoro,
Hokkaido with HBC at 1kw (check for //1287) or it’s JOYR Okayama with 10 kw ,
or possibly both.  9 level too at
16:12.  May be a third station there
earlier with music too.

1503:  9 level at
14:09 with JOUK Akita NHK1 at 10kw, and lower powered relays as well.

1512:  8 level.  CC noted late.

1521:  7 level
14:00.  

1530:  several JJ
listed here, with strongest being JOXF Utsunomiya with 5 kw.  1062 and 864 listed as //.  7 level with domestic early.  Later at 16:08 at 7.5 with 2 cochannels.  EZL music and talk

1539:  CC at 9 level
13:28 with CNR1.  7.5 later with English,
likely 5TAB after 16:00

1548:  7.5 level with
? Filipino on 1548.015.  Later in German,
so DW Sri Lanka.  At 16:04, it was 4QD in
English at 7.5 to 8, and within a few minutes changed to English from DW at
16:19 at 8 level with news.

1557:  9 level WYFR
Taiwan, and still 8.5 at 16:18

1566:  Nice FEBC ID at
13:45, when briefly off while changing antennae and languages.  Cochannel there too.

1575:  9 level with
AFN cochannel VOA, both strong at 14:17. 
At 16:15, 3 cochannels with Radio Farda, VOA, and AFN.  VOA mentioned Bangla@xxxxxxx, or bangla@xxxxxxxxxxx

1584:  7 level at
14:17

1593:  2 NHK2 listed
here at 10kw:  JOTB Matsue, and JOQB
Nigata around 14:17.  Will have to check
at 15:00 for sign-off ID.  Good
level.
