[IRCA] 738-BEL2 (Taiwan Fisheries) Apparently Fixes the Buzzing Carrier
Hello All,
For the second day in a row, the signal from Taiwan's 738 kHz BEL2 station
has had a clean-sounding carrier, which is much improved from its ragged
sound during the entire month of September.
Yesterday the BEL2 signal showed up with a clean sound for the first time
on my 3' bedside loop, making me think I had finally found the
clean-carrier South Korean KBS station reported by Bruce, Guy and others :-)
This morning, when testing the new 9' PVC box loop here for the first time
in TP-DXing, not only did BEL2 have a clean-sounding, strong signal on 738
kHz, but the KBS station HLKG (South Korean) was also easily heard, along
with another Chinese station under these two. The gain of the 9' loop made
these three stations mix together for a nice MP3 at 1400 UTC, making the
frequency sound like a TP graveyard channel.
