[IRCA] Victoria B.C.TP fro 28Sep09 from Victoria: Score!
This was a very interesting morning in that there were
sections of the band that were red hot - and others
that were really not.
Low-band: cooking...
531 - JJ
540 - gotta check the MD rec. I made - Asian but not CC or JJ - 2 or 3 deep here
and there was a significant pre-sunrise burst.
558 - JJ in the clear
567 - very underperforming JJ
576 - Russian solid in the clear - 9
585 - JJ // 594 and 603
594 - JJ // 585 and 603 (see notes on 603)
603 - KK duking it out w. JJ // to 594... recorded this on the Sony MD. Guys, check your Perseus's
612 - mix but nothing definitive
621 - 7
639 - CC at an 8-9
675 - 7
693 - got an awesome MD rec. of this against CBC Vancouver - 100% copy
702 - 7
720 - KK
738 - Korean best I have ever heard them
747 - Average 8 in JJ
756 - CC
765 - jumble
774 - JJ
After this it was pretty dudsville as Walt described.
Notables -
918, 936(CC), 963(RR Int. Srve from CC) and 972 solid.
Nothing on the upper band indicators 1287
1566 just a good carrier.
As much as I would like to say that Walt needs me to re-solder
his antenna connections, he was right on. The mid and upper
band felt sodden and washed out.
Lads: Check your drift-nets for whatever was on 540 and 603!
