Another factor with Wi-Fi is that with all versions, half of the peak
bandwidth is consumed by radio overhead. So if the peak speed is 54 Mbps,
only about 27 Mbps is available for the applications running over that
connection. That 27 Mbps then is further reduced by a weak signal,
interference and other users on the same router/AP.
