For a lot less than what you'd spend to have DSL run in, or what you'd spend for a year of poky satellite internet, what about having the cable company bring the install into you as a buried line from the pole?
My recollection from visiting your place is that you're pretty close to the utility poles, so there shouldn't be too much trenching needed.
You can always put the cable modem in a different room from your DX setup, then use a cheap WiFi router to get the signal the rest of the way to your computer.
