[IRCA] TP for 10 Mar from Victoria, BC
Didn't have much time later on, but conditions seemed "better" earlier; most of
the listening was from 1318 to 1332, with quick check backs just before 1400 and
1430UT. Although the list below is longish, conditions were erratic, and I
needed to pounce on signals during brief fade ups. Overall...down somewhat on
yesterday, but perhaps not as spectacularly as some found.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
828 JOBB (at 1320, this was fighting with something else which could have been
DU, just not strong enough to ID the language in the confusion; didn't sound CC)
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or
noise):
594 JOAK
747 JOIB//774 at 1427UT
774 JOUB
1566 HLAZ 1429UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
567 JOIK // 594
639 CNR-1 //5030 at 1331UT
972 HLCA
1134 S.Korea //972 at 1354
1575 presumably VoA
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
612 DU direction at 1428UT
945 CNR-1, as seemed //5030
963 at 1429, traces of mx; haven't heard CRI here for awhile
1053 mostly hum, but traces of talk
1206 off channel talk, likely CRI
1278
1287
1377 seemed //5030, so CNR-1
1422 talk at 1430UT
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 936,
1098DU, 1143, 1475 (been awhile since this has been heard)
best wishes,
Nick
