[IRCA] TP for 11 Feb from Victoria, BC
A little bit like yesterday, favoring the lower part of the band, but not much
sunrise lift. Listened from 1425 to 1450UT and 1510 to 1520UT, with a brief
visit at 1540 to hear NHK2 sign off.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
279 R. Rossii
594 JOAK
639 CNR-1 //5030 at 1437UT
774 JOUB at 1512UT
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or
noise):
567 JOIK //594 at 1431UT
603 HLSA and second station at 1444
747 JOIB at 1428
828 JOBB at 1440UT; quite poor earlier
972 HLCA 1426UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
531 JOQG //594 at 1430UT, faint but clear with a wondrous lack of splatter
558 w/mx not //603 at 1513 (JOCR?)
612 JOLK //594 at 1448, soon faded u/EE sounding talk (4QR?), but back alone at
1514UT
936 likely Anhui at various times
1134 S.Korea //972 at 1443
1287 JOHR w/JJ talk at 1519UT
1377 CNR-1 //5030 at 1442
1566 HLAZ 1519UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
648
657 singing and big hum likely N. Korea
693 seemed //828, so JOAB
702 seemed //774, so JOKD/JOFB
873 seemed //828, so JOGB
855 choral mx and hum likely N. Korea
945 seemed //5030 at 1515UT, so CNR-1
1575 with mystery hum on it
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 792DU,
864, 1098DU
best wishes,
Nick
