[IRCA] Part V: Queen Charlotte Is DXpedition: Last morning, and a poor one at that!
Part V: 4 January, 2009 Masset, BC: Overall poor conditions, but a not bad Chinese showing early.
For my last morning, I dx?d from about 13:50 onwards. Again conditions were not all that good. SF was 70, A index 10!, and K at 12:00 was 2. Not very promising. Once again, I listened from 1701 kHz down.
1602: NHK2 at 13:53 at 6.5
1593: NHK2 at 7 level early, but CNR1 at 16:29
1575: VOA at 16:26. Did not hear English when checked at 15:48, though.
1566: 8 level at best for HLAZ
1503: JOUK Akita with NHK1 at 14:09 at 8 level.
1386: NHK2 at 7 level at 14:12
1377: Chinese, not CNR1 at 14:14 at 8 level.
1323: CRI Russian at 8 level
1287: JOHR at 9 level at 14:20
1278: 9 level presumed JOFR
1269: 8 level with 2 cochannels.
1251: Chinese at 14:24 at 7
1242: Japanese at 9 level at 16:23
1206: Yanbian in Korean at 14:25 at 9 level.
1197: Chinese at 8 level
1188: Japanese at 8 level
1179: 8 level
1170: VOA jingle at 15:06 with cochannel domestic. Still strong at 16:21 at 8 to 9 level.
1089: Chinese plus vocal singing cochannel at 9 level at 16:20
1071: NHK1 and cochannel at 7 level at 15:38
1053: North Korea plus cochannel at 16:19 also at 15:41 at 9 level
1044: CRI Japanese at 14:38 // 7190 SW at 9 level
1026: 8 level Chinese vocal music at 14:39
1008: buzzing audio at 8 level
999: Christian singing without ID at TOH at 16:00. Not sure who. ?V6AF?
981: CNR1 at 9 level
972: HLCA at 14:51 9 level with weak Chinese cochannel.
918: Shandong plus echo at 8 level
873: NHK2 sign-off at 15:00, not 16:00 or 15:40. This change has been widely reported subsequently! 8 level.
828: Huge OC at 15;07
819: North Korea on 819.05 at 14:49 at 8 level
774: NHK2 s/off as 873 at 9 level.
747: OC at 8 level
738: Taiwan Fisheries plus cochannel at 8 level
711: KBS1 and ? Vietnam cochannel at 16:11 8 level.

675: Vietnam at 16:10 at 8 level
666: NHK1 at 15:15 at 8 level
657: North Korea 656.95 at 7 level
594: JOAK and cochannel at 15:18 and again at 16:05 at 8 level.
531: NHK1 at 8 level.
Russian LW: only 279 at 9+ level at 15:21 only. No other Russian LW heard.
