[IRCA] WOON 1240 Test in Alabama

My attempt at the test was interrupted when one of our "four legged children" needed a trip to the emergency vet shortly before the test started. I set up Total Recorder to capture the test, while I tended to the more critical situation.

The dog is fine, and recovering well now...and I made it out of the animal emergency room just in time to listen to the last 15 minutes or so of the test on the car radio. At one point (1:55PM CST) I did hear what sounded like Morse Code, but as others have pointed out, graveyard channels can often produce that sound when conditions are right.

My experience has always been that if sweep tones are being used during a test, it's virtually impossible to be able to copy the Morse Code, without also hearing the sweep tones. Nothing is more effective at cutting through QRM than those sweeps! So I'm doubtful that I was hearing the test. I'll try to review the recording file today and report back.

Thanks to all involved in arranging the test. If it turns out that the test did not occur due to poor weather, I'm sure that we'd all appreciate another opportunity.
