[IRCA] TP for 19 Dec from Victoria, BC

I'm beginning to think that TPs are livelier earlier on these mornings, even with the additional domestic splatter.  Started listening about 1410UT, and it looked like a peak occurred about 1430UT, although there was also a bit of sunrise lift a little over an hour later.   As Bill observed, conditions were better overall than they have been recently.

Also, had "barely there" audio on HLAZ at various times between 1730 and 1800UT, but it took the big fade moments before its actual s/off at 1800.  



pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

828 JOBB


reasonable audio  at  times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise): 

594 JOAK
693 JOAB at 1425; not heard later
747 JOIB
873 JOGB at 1501UT //774
954 JOKR JJ talk at 1435UT
972 HLCA 
1134 two stations at 1431, likely  Japan and Korea
1287 JOHR   at 1414UT, and also for awhile after 1533UT
1566 HLAZ  at 1540UT. The off channel station was only visible on Spectran trace; Mauno Ritola has ID'd this as Hubei PBS News Channel.  It signed off this morning at 1732UT apparently
1575 Thailand w/SE Asian language at 1453 and 1537UT



not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 

189 jazzy piano at 1534, best Russian LWBC
648 likely Russia at 1444UT
567 JOIK //594
837 sounded //594, so possibly JOQK, though there is a lower powered Hokkaido station also
1242 likely JOLF; good carrier on this, rarely audio
1323 sounded RR, so CRI?
1377 CNR1 //5030
1386 NHK2 synchros //774



Burbles in the splatter and noise:

180, 279; the latter with big carrier
1044 with big carrier; not much audio; maybe CRI
1422 likely JORF; hard to get decent audio out of this



Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):  1053 with a hum, 1098 likely Marshalls per direction, 1404
