[IRCA] TP for 18 Dec from Victoria, BC
Another unexciting morning, at least to start with. Started around 1430UT again, and listened on and off (mostly off) until after 1600UT. Again, Dennis was wise to listen earlier I think, though it wasn't quite as poor as yesterday. Things didn't hang around later this morning.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
774 JOUB
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB
828 JOBB
1566 HLAZ at 1553UT, no obvious sign of off channel station
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
594 JOAK
639 CNR1 //5030; this was fairly consistent, but was the only positive Chinese noted.
972 HLCA big carrier as always
1134 sounded JJ when it was in
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
567 JOIK //594
738 seemed DU per loop
1017 not NHK2; maybe China
1044 with big carrier; not much audio; maybe CRI
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 648, 936, 1098 likely Marshalls per direction, 1188, 1377, 1557
best wishes,
Nick
