[IRCA] TP for 13 Dec from Victoria, BC
Started again at 1445UT this morning, and didn't seem quite as poor as yesterday, though there wasn't a really noticeable sunrise lift, and most of what was heard was in the "barely there" category except for the powerhouses. As well, signal levels were pretty erratic, and audio rarely stayed in for more than a short time. I listened for an hour or so, on and off.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
none
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK at 1515UT
774 JOUB
828 JOBB
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
639 likely Fiji with islandish music at 1454UT; direction was correct too
747 JOIB
1134 at 1517, just mx, so don't know if Japan or Korea
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
558 at 1457, couldn't tell language, but JOCR most likely given other JJ receptions
693 //774 at 1520UT, so JOAB
873 seemed //774, so JOGB
954 at 1519, likely JOKR
972 likely HLCA, big carrier, little audio
1242 at 1548UT, likely JOLF
1503 seemed //594 at 1547UT, so JOUK
1566 HLAZ
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1404 (!), 1575
best wishes,
Nick
