[IRCA] TPs on the car radio - Day 3
Once Again, I tried some TP DX while driving to work this morning at
about 1340-1405. As was the case yesterday, I had the car radio
programmed for 9 kHz spacing. This time I heard English lessons on
JOIB-747 easily poking through the KXL-750 splatter. Hets were noted on
594 603 648 657 693 729 738 774(4 kHz from a 50/10kw local) 801 828 972
981 1134 1377 and 1566. 1377 and 1566 might have had bits of audio but
there was too much domestic splatter to tell for sure.
On most channels, there was quite a bit of domestic splatter. For
example, 594 had readable audio from KUGN-590 Eugene, OR. The radio was
clearly intended to be used for in-vehicle entertainment and not for
long haul split channel DX!
