[IRCA] First Day Back: TPs from Orcas Island

Was up at 4AM local time, 1100 UT, with the body still on Eastern time from Peru. Checked early and the usual JJ suspects were there. Korea and China came along later and my general impression was that it was an "OK" morning, but nothing special. With Local dawn at 1403, I DXed seriously from 1300 on to fade out about 1420. There were no DUs audible to me, except 1701.05 running at just above the mumble level, very late.

I'll overlay my notes on Walt's, with mine second. And in BLUE for those receiving this directly

Well, that is it.... Its great to be home, one of the best parts of travel :>) All seems right with the TP world in this neighborhood.... Walt hears DUs better than me, because he is 20 miles closer to the open Pacific. I heard Asia a bit better than him, because my Asia antenna looks directly up the Gulf of Georgia, between Vancouver Island and the Mainland.

I'll finally have a report on my largely unsuccessful morning DXing on the beach near Chiclayo, Peru in a few days. There are three UNIDs that I want to try to solve first.

Good to be home.... was on 8 different flights in two weeks. I can remember clearly when flying was a privilege and was both comfortable and FUN! Some things about the Old Days W*E*R*E good!
