[IRCA] TPs for 23Aug2008
An abbreviated report for 23Aug08 from Masset, B.C.
Our guests arrived which made things more difficult to
monitor. Just listened between 13:30 and 14:15
UTC, and mostly confined to the upper band.
Highlight of the morning was 1548 with a Mayak ID at 13:37, despite PAL listing a sign-off time of 08:00.
Only 10 kw listed too from Aleksandrovsk, on
Sakhalin Is.
I felt that the JJ were perhaps a bit subdued.
The cochannel on 1566 was relatively strong.
1575 had AFN and VOA both quite strong.
Some good Filipinos, including 1017 with what seemed to be a
local talent contest (?) at 14:05
with lots of local singing.
Conditions faded quickly by 14:10,
though.
