With the recent discussion on matching transformers, I when outside to check 
the transformer on the ewe.  I use a 2.5 k pot and checked the setting,  it read
606 ohms.  That's as high as the pot would go.  Found another pot and replaced
the bad one, it's now set at 960 ohms.  

Will give it a try this coming morning.
