The QRM in the cities has gotten a lot worse for the number of
powerhouse stations, but out here they don't affect the band all that
much. Back in the heyday of the 70s/80s, the signal from the DU was such
that is would easily overpower the splatter from domestics. They just
don't have that punch now. It is 11:51 PM (PDT) as I type this, 25 years
ago I may be already getting the powerhouse NZers. It was not uncommon.
