Re: [IRCA] KGED QSLs

3 applications were filed to replace the 1470 at Coalinga, CA. Two at Coalinga with only 400 watts and a directional antenna system at night, from the City Water Works yard -- where KKFO was, and the third application seeks 1470 at Huron, CA -- just 10 miles east of Coalinga. The Huron application seeks 1.2 KW Day + 500 watts Nights - DA2. It is a dummy application -- to allow KZLA FM 98.3 A at Huron to re-locate to a new City of License -- Riverdale, CA that doesn't exist. KZLA is trying to upgrade to class B1 and move closer to Fresno. But (1) KZLA 98.3 is the only licensed radio service at Huron and (2) Riverdale does not qualify as a "City or Community of License". The allocation of 98.3 A was first proposed for Riverdale -- but was changed to Huron -- once the FCC asked the applicant to PROVE that Riverdale existed. The upgrade application of KZLA is the Number 1 application pending -- on the Un-blocked list of applications --.
