[IRCA] Early X-Band Stations
Around 1995-1996, the US Army tested a transmitter on 1670 kHz, KTRK from Fort Mead, MD. The signal was quite loud East of the Mississippi and beyond. Rumor had that the transmitter was mounted on the back of an Army truck (hence Kay-Truck) and later deployed to Bosnia I believe.
