[IRCA] Uralights at Grayland

--
Good Day,

1575 VOA Thailand was heard barefoot on the Sony SRF 39 fp this morning
out in the parking lot at 1249 ut. Placed the radio near the Sony ferrite
coupler that was connected to the West bog. VOA was booming in.
Took the radio outside to get away from the coupler and noise.
Signal was weak, but a man in Asian language was heard.

SRF M35V also heard VOA 1575 Thailand when placed next to the coupler.
This was at 1247 and the signal was fair.

Latter this morning before winding up the West bog I wrapped 4 turns
of the bog wire across the length of the SRF-39 fp. The West bog was
542' long and it really increase the signal strength of stations heard using
this method. Stations went from weak to fair.

Back home now, it was a nice 3 days at Grayland. Hope to made
in back in Sept-Oct-Nov. for fall Dxing.

Dennis,
Salmon Creek, WA
