Hello All,
The ICF-S10Mk2 finally has a companion in the Ultralight Turkey farm.
The Radio Shack 12-467 was put up against the "King of the Hill" SRF-59
unit in a daytime DX shootout, and the results were, well... let's just say
that turkey feathers flew everywhere. The Radio Shack couldn't receive any
fringe stations, and was nowhere near the level of the SRF-59 in selectivity,
nullability, etc. Reminding me of the ICF-S10Mk2, the Radio Shack has multiple
images and "more birdies than an aviary."
It is strongly suggested that members avoid this pathetic unit like the
plague, except to receive locals. For example, when the local Seahawks play
the Cardinals, this Turkey might even come in handy.
73, Gary
