[IRCA] KZIZ-1560 ON TONIGHT

KZIZ-1560 Sumner is on tonight. Whether this is for real this time -  
there have been aberrations before - is  not known. They hold a CP  
for 5kw-D, 900w-N U2 (DA-N) with 3300CH. I first heard it driving  
home on Highway 509 eastward out of downtown Tacoma. It was dreadful  
as soon as 509 headed north, with lengthy patches of non-existence at  
the hands of KNZR. There was no sign of KVAN Burbank either in the  
car or at home using the loop. The KZIZ format is rockin' gospel. The  
night pattern is NNW from Sumner. I recall that the night pattern  
used to be on Radio-Locator but it isn't there now.

Of lesser consequence is the arrival of a new TIS on 1650 on Vashon  
Island. Very conversational; broadcast quality. Here it mixes with  
the Tacoma HAR which is located at the intersection of I-5 and  
Highway 512. I haven't listened to it long enough to get the calls  
accurately but think I heard a WPHK###.
