I use KSIR for a sunset skip indicator station here in Barrington IL (35 
mile NW of Chicago) as my west Phased BOG System nulls out CFRB/WINS and 
leaves 1010 decently open and KSIR has a favorable day pattern. I can also 
get them in the mix on good nights on night rig.  I suspect they had day rig 
on early when you heard them. PSRA's are limited to 500 watts and start at 6 
AM local, unless something has changed over the years.
