Essentially just identifying the existing filters, making sure they are
electrically compatible, and desoldering them.  Many people prefer to solder
a socket in, and then plug in the filter.  Works either way.  I do not know
if the 2010 has AM filters that could be replaced like that.  Kiwa and some
CB vendors offer a dual filter setup with a small amp to offset the loss.  I
suppose that somebody also makes one for FM.  Adds some gain and a fair bit
of selectivity.

Some time ago I swapped out the stock filters in a Delco truck radio and put
in a couple of 150's.  Made a *huge* difference.

I think filter mods offer about the biggest bang for the buck that can be
found.
