Charlie,

John Bryant and Bill Bowers wrote an extensive article for Proceedings
some years back on huge ferrite bar antennas. They built a monster that
was 16 feet(!) long. They compared a Dymek 1 foot, a 4 foot, and 8 foot,
and the 16 footter.
