I guess you are right. The previous owner that also
owned WOHS 730 Shelby , WLON 1050 Lincolnton and  the
1450 in Gastonia NEVER  EVER cut power at ANY of their
stations. Gastonia being a "graveyarder" didn't have
to. I actually measured this on mutliple occasions. 
Also the other area startions told me this, and not to
bother reporting it to the FCC as the Norfolk VA
office would do nothing.

The Atlanta 1600 with really high power 20,000 watts
shows the need for critical hours for these regional
frequencies at the high end of the dial with stations
that recently got power increases substantially over
the old 5000 watt level.7
