Another recent example is the former KOLT 92.9 Scottsbluff NE, which was
recently relocated south to Warren AFB, Nebraska, serving the larger
Cheyenne/northern Colorado market. (It now simulcasts a Spanish-language
format from KGRE 1450 Greeley CO.)
To get the city of license changed to Warren AFB, the station owner made
a showing that the base met all the needed qualifications to serve as a
community of license. Neither the studio nor the transmitter are
actually on the base, nor do they have to be.
