[IRCA] MW550P lower channels.

Hi Guy,

Just did a quick check using the Palstar MW550P on the lower frequencies.
(530-630) Antenna used is the High Performance Active Whip. 530 is the local HIR station. Bypass signal is S-9+10db. Preamp S-9+25db and tuner the same as preamp. With KOAC 550, not much difference when shifting between the mw+preamp (tuner), the preamp and the bypass. KVI 570 S-9+20 db on the bypass and S-9+30db using other two settings. KUGN 590 about the same on the S-meter using all three settings. CKBD 600 S-9 tuner preamp setting and S-8.5 with just preamp and S-7 in bypass mode. While tuning KCIS 630 in bypass splatter from local KPOJ covered most of the KCIS signal. The preamp made the splatter worse. By using the tuner and tuning a slighty higher frequency 640 the splatter lessen making listening much better.
On 1690 KFSG signal is S-5 in bypass S-6.5 with preamp and S-9+25 db
using tuner. Does seem to do better on the upper frequencies. Like the fact that it tunes up around 2850 kHz. Being a non-technical guy, hope to read other Dxers comments on the MW550P.
