[IRCA] TPs and TAs on the West Coast

Since I no longer trust the ol' brain housing group for memory, I'll
toss this out to the West Coast DXers from the 60s/70s. There was a
group of DXers in the San Jose Bay area who were reporting exceptional
DX, including TAs (BBC-1215) and TPs. The year was before 1972 when I
joined the Navy. Perhaps past DXM issues of that era might identify them
and their catches.
Point. A lot of interesting TPs and some TAs are being noted by WCNA
DXers. Always one to believe in DX and solar cycles, is there a
possibility that this is a cycle that returns less frequently that
expected 11 year cycle?
Again, I'm not certain, but I think the activity reported lasted for
longer than a year. Of note also, the San Jose region has a higher level
of ground conductivity than many other areas of the United States
(http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/m3/index.html). This is a topic that has
been discussed here and/or the NRC site.
Just a thought.
Mike
