Good to see the Phaser is working well, John, and although I wouldn't quite put things in your context, I fully understand the excitement of nulling down a pest. Now, one comment from me about phasing down a null. In my short experience, I'm finding it virtually a must to visually watch the signal drop on the Icom's spectrum scope, or the S-meter. Without them, I often miss that subtle nudge which signifies that you might have jumped right over the "sweet spot". That concerns me a tad, since some of my receivers, and my primary MW dx machine (the 7030+) don't have the nice S-meter, and instead rely on a bar graph which frankly is not up to the challenge. Now with the 7030+, I could always use the graphic S-meter provided by ERGO4 which would suit my requirements. The Collins HF-2050 is another receiver with just the bar mode S-meter....also not enough to use properly, in my opinion. So here's the question: Are others able to null strictly by sound without looking at the dials? ........Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC
