The old Heathkit generator I got from Bill Block back in the 70s, when
he moved to San Diego. I use it for a transmitter, to relay the
frequency I am tuned to with the R8, so I can monitor it out at the end
of the termination with a portable. I can get the pot adjusted
perfectly. No guess work. I have been doing that for years. Works like a
champ. I run a 3 foot piece of wire from the output tube grid to a
curtain rod for an antenna.  It covers a mile or more in all directions.
