A few years back during the WEGP-1390-ME test, off the beverage, I was
getting QRM from a second station, IDing as "Bubba FM". I listened and
got the details off the WEGP test, including voice IDs. Then WEGP signed
off leaving the second station IDing as "Bubba FM" playing C&W music.
Finally at the TOH, came the ID. "This is WXTC, Charleston"
I about fell out of my chair. The signal was not bad either. I believe
it was about 1997. No sign of other stations like Yakima WA, Utah, Iowa,
nothing except the two stations, then WXTC alone after the WEGP test. I
got them both QSL'd.
