Robert,
Glad to offer what little info as I can.
You shouldn't short yourself though, two Cubans are often heard at once on
the same frequency. I always have two RR's on 950 and two R.Rebeldes on
1180. Even without confirmation of location, there is no doubt two are
there.
A check of the usual source shows considerable disparity in signal
strength, but my location moderates the stronger Havana stations letting
the weaker mid-Cuban stations be heard at nearly the same level.
There is clearly precedent for reporting more than one Cuban on a given
frequency. It does get more difficult when they're heard at different
times, though. That's when your distant reception complicates what for me
can be a simple twist of a portable radio to check direction. Even then,
though, it really only eliminates possibilities.
I, on the other hand, sit and read on this list the discussions on Canadian
receptions almost everyone else in the country seems to hear.
Ain't DXin' great?
Curt
