Hi Patrick,
How tall are your tallest available trees? Have you considered a compressed
air or CO2 antenna line launcher? These are offshoots of the infamous "spud
guns" that use igniting hairspray or similar to launch a potato.
Enterprising radio amateurs have taken the idea a lot further, and their
devices are able to shoot a line for deploying an antenna support over 150+
ft. trees (if you have 'em that tall!).
Here are a few links to pique your interest; these devices can be built from
scratch, from kits, or even purchased ready-made. I saw one demonstrated at
a hamfair recently...wow! Sure beats a Wrist-Rocket slingshot for lobbing
fishing line over trees.

Greetings,
Inbetween service calls today I got out and raised my WNW EWE antenna bit.
Up in the tree I went again to try to untangle the wire from a branch. I did
not have a lot of luck because the branch was in the way. Down I went,
gabbed the saw and climbed back up and sawed the limb off. Down it came
right on top of the wire, but flipped over the wire and the limb landed on
another limb and it took a bit to get the sawed off limb down to the ground.
It weighed about 150 pounds. I had to saw the limb in three pieces to toss
it on the wood pile. Anyway I got the wire cleared so I raised the EWE up
about 3 feet on both ends and it made quite a difference. I would not think
raising it 15% would make a difference, but the S Meter went up nearly 10DB
on some frequencies to the N/NW. I am thinking of putting the EWE on high
poles in the trees and try to get it up 40-50 feet if possible. That is if
it would survive our high winds in the Winter of 90 MPH+. But raising the
EWE does make a difference. It is up about 25-26 feet now. I already was
getting a het on 1179 khz at 0540 UTC tonight (JOOR). No het on my SW EWE,
so it made a difference, plus I moved the EWE a bit more to the NW, about 5
degrees I would guess. It is pretty much aimed at Japan now. But I am quite
pleased with the results on making just a little change. I wish I had a
couple 200' Redwoods in my backyard. hi.
