It really does make sense to list it this way, as when you use
that format to identify a file, it will sort properly across years
(if you call the year 06) and even centuries (if you use all 4
digits) because then the year becomes the most-significant-bit,
as it should be, and not the day or month. Computer programmers
have known this for decades.

I've noticed more and more DXers use this to identify their
loggings. I think sorting first by freq and then date makes a
lot of sense. (e.g. 00970_20060402_WBUZZ_remarks)
as someone here now does.

As far as the "magic time" is concerned, we in this country
cling to the peculiar, absurd notion of counting to twelve,
twice, to describe a single 24 hour day, instead of the
logical and natural step of counting to 24 once. This means
there would have to be TWO "magic days" so not to worry,
if you miss one, there will be another that afternoon. Some-
what less special than it deserves to be. Then in Chicago,
it comes an hour later, and in Indiana .... who knows, now?

You should reckon the "magic time" in UTC, actually, as
they do with leap years, then you're guaranteed to have it
once, everywhere.
