KDKA is the offender on WBZ, plus the destructive short-hop skywave. WBZ
interferes with itself. I'm still living a bit over a mile from where you
grew up. That's maybe 35 or so miles from Hull where WBZ is. Pretty limited
coverage for a full Class A station.

850 and 830 chew it up. No way the HD sidebands can get through.

I think many engineers are coming to that conclusion, but the inertia of the
iBiquity juggernaut is going to be tough to stop. It is very interesting
that full night IBOC hasn't been approved.

I have an Accurian HDTV tuner, and my wife much prefers it to the analog
tuner. More choices, no ghosting. FM has it's own problems that are
similar to AM. Wait until a lot of HD FM's are up and we get a good round
of E skip or extended Tropo like in the spring. Engineer's phones will be
off the hook with complaints. (sigh)
I don't want to set off a whole 'nuther round of IBOC QRM, so I'll let this
drop from my end..
