I don't think Sync is intended for weak scratchy MW stations and don't use
it. I simply use the 4 or 2.3 KHz filter and either AM,LSB, or USB and, off
course the PBT to help and even the notch for close hets.
The R8 series would be better with a filter in between 4 and 2.3 Khz I am
finding out. 4 KHz is too wide for most TA's here in IL, but 2.3 Khz
sacrificed audio intelligibility.
