I'm not using such a display directly, but I know several folks who are,
interfacing it with various low-power kit ham transceivers that don't come
with a display. Works fine, as you can enter the offset for whatever IF is
needed to get the display to read properly.
I have his L/C meter, which is absolutely indispensable, if you need to
measure components for a passive filter; and his free filter design program
also works very well.
