The St. Louis Radio Hall of Fame added nine new members as of Jan. 2.
The new members, who are nominated by the hall's board of directors and voted on by local media, join 61 others in the hall. They include:
- Ben Abell, longtime local meteorologist;
- Gene Chase, disc jockey on several local stations;
- Lee Coffee, disc jockey known as the "Musical Pumpkin" on KSHE;
- Danny Dark, a former disc jockey at KXOK;
- Jerome Dixon, host of "Night Beat Down Rhythm Street," on KATZ;
- Richard Ward Fatherley, KXOK;
- Ron Jacober, longtime sportscaster;
- Ron Lundy, formerly at WIL;
- Guy Phillips, longtime morning host on KYKY.
